Lingowares is proud to embark on a social good campaign of mindfulness writing for children. Proceeds from the sale of all merchandise helps fund our Write12 pilot writing program in elementary schools.
What if we helped children understand that spending fifteen minutes a month writing a letter to someone who inspires them or has touched their life would have a 360° positive impact? What if we helped children think about their communities, their role within it, characteristics they want to emulate in others and how to express them?
Write12 was designed as a mindfulness writing program for children. It encourages them to spend time thinking about people in their community who impact their lives in a positive way, and to use their social emotional learning knowledge and narrative writing skills to write letters to twelve of those people over the course of a year. Write12 is designed as an exercise in kindness and gratitude to help young people think about traits they admire in others, and to further understand the positive impact many people play in their life.
